Diane M Herman

Diane M. Herman, 70, of Mertztown, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in her residence. She was the wife of Richard C. Herman. They were married June 21, 1958.

Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Kathryn (Mohr) DeLong. She was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown. She was a 1958 graduate of Brandywine Heights School District. She was employed as an assembler for ABB, Fogelsville, prior to that, she worked at Caloric Corporation at is former Topton plant. She was active as a den leader with the Boy Scouts of America and was a local Judge of Elections.

She is survived by Husband, Sons, Darrel R., husband of Sheila A. (Kline) Herman, Allentown, Bruce D. Herman, companion of Cathy Boyer, Mertztown, and Brian S. husband of Marnie (Marquardt) Herman, Pleasant Gap; Sister, Sandra (DeLong) wife of Larry Eisenhart, Topton, PA. There are also 4 Grandchildren, 1 Step Granddaughter, and 1 Step Great Grandson.

Funeral Services are Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Street, Topton, PA. Interment will be in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
