Derek R Blankenhorn

Derek R. Blankenhorn, 26, of Dumore, Lackawanna County, formerly of Maidencreek Township, died April 13, 2015, in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, where he was a patient for several days.

Born in West Reading, Derek was a son of James C. Blankenhorn, D.M.D., and the late Geneva A. (Brand) Blankenhorn.  Derek was a resident at Saint Joseph Center, Hughestown.

Hee is survived by Father and Step Mother, James C., D.M.D., and Barbara M. (Trautman) Blankenhorn, Maidencreek Township; Sister, Nicole W. Blankenhorn, Philadelphia, Twin Brother, Shane P. Blankenhorn, New York City, NY; Step Sisters, Jennifer L. Hunsberger, New York City, NY and Christen L. (Hunsberger) wife of James E. Rumsey, Oreland, Montgomery County.

Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions be may made to Saint Joseph Center, 320 S. Blakely Street, Dunmore, PA  18512. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
