Mr. Dennis Hunter

Dennis Hunter, 62, of Pflugerville, TX and formerly of Pleasantville, OH, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2023, while visiting his family in Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband to Carla Reed, whom he married on August 25, 2022. Dennis was born on December 28, 1960, in Lancaster, OH and was the son of the late Patricia Louise (Patterson) and David L. Hunter, Sr.

Dennis served in the United States Air Force for 4 years - stationed in Hawaii and traveled the world to places like Korea, Germany & Switzerland.
Dennis was known for being a man of many talents, some of which include Husband, Friend, Confidant, Gardener, Landscaper, Master Griller, Chef (14 years), Bug Man (24 years), Beer Drinker, Pool Player, Dart Thrower, 3-Hole and Cornhole Extraordinaire.

He was loud when he joked with an infectious laugh. But was soft and sweet to his beautiful wife who loved his sweet smile and kisses. Though Dennis was born in Lancaster, OH he made Texas his home and as he always said, "Everything is bigger and better in Texas!"

Along with his beloved wife, Carla, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Rose Patricia Louise Hunter; his brothers, David L. Hunter, Jr., and wife Beverly, Richard W. Hunter and wife Deborah; and sister Debbie L. Kennedy; his stepchildren, Jill Hodgson (Shane), Lance Lamberson (Codi), Jeffrey Reed (Sarah) and many grandkids; multiple nieces and a nephew; aunt, Judith and uncle, Jeff Giovannucci and multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Louise Hunter, father, David L. Hunter, Sr., brother, Greg E. Hunter and one grandson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at The Whiskey Room, 113 E. Pecan Street, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Please come pay tribute to such a wonderful man! Stay as long or as short as you wish.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dennis's memory to a charity of your choice.
