Dennis G. "Heffer" Fenstermacher, 81, of Lyon Station, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 under hospice care in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA.

Born May 12, 1944 in Kutztown, PA, Dennis was a son of the late George L. and Dorothy H. (Merkel) Fenstermacher. Dennis was a brick layer and mason for his entire career. He began working for Kern Masonry in Topton, PA, for many years. He then started his own business, Fenstermacher Masonry in Topton, PA for nine years. Most recently, Heffer worked for Horst Masonry of Lancaster for twelve years, until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Topton, and Cougar Tale, Kutztown. Heffer was an avid golfer and NASCAR fan and played in several golf leagues. He also enjoyed his golf and racing trips with his friends, and his daily breakfasts at Janelle's Diner. Heffer was especially proud of his hole-in-one at Rich Maiden and looked forward to his weekly games of cards and dice at Lyons Fire Company. He was also a die-hard Philadelphia team supporter. Above all, Dennis loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and was their #1 fan and biggest supporter of all of their sports activities.

Dennis is survived by his seven children, Donna K. (Fenstermacher) Loos, companion of Michael Melnyk, Jr., Mertztown, Susan G. (Fenstermacher), wife of Patrick Taylor, Allentown, Steven D., husband of Karen (Lower) Fenstermacher, Mertztown, Jacqueline A. (Fenstermacher), wife of Raymond Wolfgang, Harrisburg, Thomas G., husband of Erinn (Hess) Fenstermacher, Collegeville, William M., husband of Midia (Caban) Fenstermacher, Alburtis, and Rebecca L. (Fenstermacher), wife of John Reinhard, Leesport; two sisters, Darlene L. (Fenstermacher), wife of Mace R. Arndt, Lyon Station, and Beverly C. (Fenstermacher), wife of Robert Sanders, Virginville; and brother, Jeffrey L. Fenstermacher, Mertztown, and his children, Corey and Ashley.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Brandon D. Herman, Tyler B. Herman, Amanda K. Carbone, Jordan R. Hoffer, Meagan R. Loos, Alexis M. Fenstermacher, Jacob W. Fenstermacher, Hannah R. Fenstermacher, Anna Wolfgang, Samantha Wolfgang, Emma Reinhard, Quinn Reinhard, and Josephine Fenstermacher; and five great-grandchildren, Hayes Herman, Mia Rose Longo, Theodore Drew Longo, Gabrielle Rose Carbone and Alaina Rose Hoffer.

Along with his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his grandson, Michael Melnyk, III; great-granddaughter, Olivia Herman; sister, Martha E. (Fenstermacher) Gambler; and brother, George B.L. Fenstermacher.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Dennis's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, with The Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. A lunch will be held following the service at Janelle's Diner, 360 Fleetwood Road, Mertztown, PA (Bowers). The family requests those who attend to come in casual attire.
