Debra Ann “Deb” (Heagy) Meck, 57, of Fleetwood, (Richmond Township), died Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Leslie A. Meck. They were married July 2, 1977.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Larry R., Sr., and Mary Jean (Concordia) Heagy. Debra was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fleetwood, and a 1974 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, and Berks Vocational Technical School. She was most recently employed by Billy’s Candies in Temple, and previously worked as a secretary for Premier Auto, Inc., in Fleetwood, for more than ten years. Deb loved to entertain her family and friends throughout the year, but especially enjoyed entertaining on the beach in her backyard. She liked to knit, sew, tend to her flowers, travel to the islands, go to exercise classes, hang out with her girlfriends and of course, wear flip-flops. Deb brought laughter and sunshine to everyone she met. And most of all, she adored her granddaughter Piper and loved being her “Grammy.”

She is survived by Husband; Daughters, Jessica Nicole Meck, Austin, TX, and Natalie Louise (Meck), wife of Brian D. Sabin, Avon Lake, OH; Granddaughter, Piper Josephine Sabin; Sister, Karen L. (Heagy), wife of Duane K. Geisler, Fleetwood; and Brother, Larry R., Jr., husband of Laurie A. (Moser) Heagy, Mertztown, parents-in-laws, Franklin R., and Pearl P. (Kauffman) Meck, Alburtis, brother-in-laws, Darrell K., husband of Diane Mec k, Saskatchawan, Canada, Bruce F., husband of Jane Meck, Alburtis, Ben E., husband of Cindy Meck, Mertztown, Joe L., husband of Denise Meck, Fleetwood, Jim M., husband of Jennifer Meck, Topton . Also, nieces and nephews, Tad, Dylan, Kirby, MacKenzie, Lisa, Erik, Abbe, Luke, Rachel, Emily, Zach, Jackie, Josh, Travis, Amanda, Katie, Samantha, Jonah and Alex; and several great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Deb's life will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:30 AM in St.  Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood, with Reverend Jane M. Kropa and Reverend Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the church. Friends and family members attending the memorial service are encouraged to wear bright colors and flip- flops .
