Deborah J. Mayer, 49, of Maidencreek Township, formerly of Mechanicsburg and Mohnton, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 11:05 a.m. in Lehigh Valley Hospital In-Patient Hospice Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of James J. Mayer. They were married on October 29, 2005.
Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Donald B. Martin, Mohnton and Jeanette L. (Hartranft) Martin-Hill wife of Paul D. Hill, Fleetwood. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregation of Huff's Union Church, Alburtis. Deborah was a 1984 graduate of Cocalico High School, Denver, Lancaster County. She also graduated from Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, with an Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene. Deborah worked as an agency pool Dental Hygienist for many years, working in various dental offices as needed.
In addition to her husband, Jim; she is survived by Parents, Donald, and Jeanette & Paul, Deborah is survived by a Son, Mark A. Salles, at home; a Sister, Donna J. Martin, wife of Kevin M. Wetzel, Fleetwood; and a Niece, Sarah M. Manmiller, Fleetwood.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with her pastor, Reverend Jane M. Kropa officiating. Relatives and friends may view Monday, January 4, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private in Huffs Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis.
The family requests contributions be made in Deborah's memory to Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
