Deborah J Flicker

Deborah Jean (Landis) Flicker, 63, of Topton, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert P. Flicker.  They were married April 11, 1970.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Eugene W. and Shirley L. (Barto) Landis. Debbie was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown. Debbie was a 1968 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School, Topton and a 1970 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing, West Reading. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at The Lutheran Home at Topton for over 30 years until her retirement in 2000. Debbie was a loving and compassionate woman who loved life and her family. She enjoyed travelling and going to "the cabin" and the beach, crossword puzzles, reading and truly loved shopping. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, Bob and was the biggest fan at her children's and grandchildren's activities. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend.

She is survived by Husband; Son, Brett R., husband of Kim M. (Doughtie) Flicker, Topton; Daughters, Amanda B. Flicker, wife of Corey L. Moyer, Zionsville, Lehigh County and Nicole M. (Flicker), wife of Ralph Murczek, Blandon. Other survivors include a Sister, Cheryl L. (Landis), wife of Michael W. Merkel, Franklin, TN and a Brother, E. Michael, husband of Sally Jo (Adams) Landis, Easton.  There are also 4 Grandchildren, Ben B. and Alex M. Flicker and Owen P. and Bryson L. Moyer .

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:30 AM from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown with Reverend Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. Interment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Relatives and friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the church.
