Deborah "Debbie" A. (Kershner) Majerich, 67, a resident of Saucony Meadows, Kutztown, and formerly of Emmaus, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in the Emergency Room at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, following a medical incident and motor vehicle accident earlier in the evening in Maxatawny Township, PA. She was the widow of John F. Majerich, who died on April 21, 1996.
Born in Allentown, Debbie was a daughter of the late Kenneth Kershner, Sr., and Dorothy F. (Barlip) Kershner, and was a graduate of Emmaus High School. She worked as a Manager for Payless ShoeSource and Fashion Bug at their former Trexlertown locations.
Debbie had a love for Mickey Mouse. She also enjoyed watching television (General Hospital & The Flinstones) and baking. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Debbie is survived by her son, Cory A. Kershner, fiancé of Elizabeth "Beth" M. Bliesath, Topton, three grandchildren, Logan, Berlynn and Maci Kershner; two brothers, Steve Kershner, husband of Sherry Kershner of Hellertown and Kenneth (Butch) Kershner, Jr., husband of Joanne Kershner of Easton; along with several nieces and nephews. Also Debbie enjoyed many friends, some who were family just as much as blood including Robert Khan of Tampa, Fl and Karen Snyder.
Services for Deborah will be held privately.
Debbie was given a second chance at life nearly 14 years ago when she underwent a kidney transplant.
