Dean R. Derr, 48, of East Walnut Street, Kutztown, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Longswamp Township, Berks County, PA. He was the husband of Cynthia S. (Bales) Derr. They would have been married 30 years on April 22, 2008.

Born in Allentown, PA he was the son of the late Leon W. and Lillian R. (O’Neil) Derr. He was a truck driver for East Penn Manufacturing, Lyon Station, for 30 years last working on February 9 ^th . He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown.

He is survived by Wife, Son, Chad M. Derr, Alburtis; Daughters, Tiffany A. (Derr) wife of Aaron R. Rentschler, Fleetwood, Alisha N. Derr, Kutztown; Sister, Debbie A. Derr, Allentown; Brothers, Dennis L. Derr, Kutzown, Terry L. Derr, Hamburg, Dale G. Derr, Sinking Spring, Neal R. Derr, Kempton: Half Brothers, David C. O’Neil, Kutztown, Lynn Derr, Trexlertown; Grandchildren, Kortney B., Trevor A., Cloey J., Taya J. Rentschler and Kayley A. Derr; Predeceased Daughter, Mandy L. Derr in 1978; Predeceased Son, Andrew R. Derr in 1988; Predeceased Brothers, Jay A. “Chubby” Derr, Donald A. Derr; and, Predeceased Half Brother, Bobby Derr.

Funeral Services are Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
