David W Price

David W. “Smooth” Price, 57, of Kutztown, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Joanne E. (Acker) Price, whom he married September 7, 1996.

Born in Altoona, Blair County, he was a son of Betty M. (Hartman), widow of Leonard T. Anicola, Kutztown, and the late Blaine L. Price. David was a 1976 graduate of Parkland High School. He was employed as a stockroom technician by East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyon Station for 10 years, last working Tuesday, October 20.  Mr. Price was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #839, Kutztown; Kutztown and Strausstown Rod and Gun Clubs; Kutztown and Lyons Fire Companies. Smooth enjoyed watching football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan!

He is survived by Wife, Joanne; Mother, Betty; Daughters, Tara M. (Binder), wife of Christopher S. Snyder, Allentown, Annmarie H. (Binder), wife of Todd R. Baker, Allentown, and Amanda L. (Binder), wife of Teejay Sanabria, Hamburg; Sister, Patricia E. (Price), widow of Clifton R. Williams, Northampton; Brother, Dennis P., husband of Deborah (Hoffman) Reppert, Kutztown, and his mother-in-law, Elda M. (Scholl) Acker, Emmaus. There are also 5 Grandchildren, Jared D. and Emma K. Snyder, Adiana M. and Jakob I.D. Sanabria, and Addison Baker. He was predeceased by a Brother, Blaine L. Price, Jr., in 2001.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment will follow in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call Sunday evening, October 25, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
