David R. Smith, 38, of Maxatawny, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading shortly after admission. He resided with best friend Patrick Marshall.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Charles E., Sr., husband of step mother, Betty Jean (Bennicoff) Smith, Fleetwood and Georgianna C. (Wehr) Geisinger Smith, Hamburg. He was employed as a truck driver for Celadon Trucking, Bath, PA.

He is survived by Parents, Step Mother, Sister, Tammy L. (Smith) wife of Samuel Stettler, Mertztown; Step Sister, Michele (Kerns) Kost, Fleetwood; Brother, Charles E. “Chuck” Smith, Jr., Mertztown; Step brother, Scott Kern, Frackville, Schuylkill County. There are also two nieces, Sonja and Shannon Sicher. There is also a Godson, Hunter Kintz.

Funeral Services are private. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
