Darlene M Fox

Darlene M. (Zimmerman) Fox, 69, of Kutztown, died peacefully surrounded by her family, April 7, 2017, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.  She was the wife of Irvin C. Fox, whom she married October 25, 1969.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Marvin H. Zimmerman and Edna M. (Balthaser) Zimmerman Leibensperger. Mrs. Fox was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. Darlene was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, class of 1965. From 1965 to 1969 she worked as a proof reader at the former Conover Printing, Kutztown. From 1970 until her retirement in 2004, she worked as a secretary in the Health, Physical Education and Dance departments of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Kutztown. Darlene was a member of Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles; Kutztown Rod & Gun Club; and Kutztown Fire Company, No. 1, all of Kutztown.

She is survived by her Husband of 47 years, Irvin C. Fox; 2 Brothers, Curtis L., husband of Mary E. (Knittle) Zimmerman, Rockland Township and Carl L. "Buppy", husband of Gloria J. (Kocher) Zimmerman, Topton. Darlene was predeceased by a Brother, Richard M. Zimmerman on March 12, 2003.

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services and interment on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11:00 AM in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, with Reverend Michael W. Beynon, officiating. There are no calling hours.

The family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
