Dallas A. Angstadt, 84, of Rockland Township, is at peace after being found on Sunday afternoon in Rockland Township. He was the loving husband of Anna L. (Schwoyer) Angstadt. They were married on August 6, 1955.

Born in Rockland Township, he was a son of the late Paul A. and Kathryn E. (Keim) Angstadt. Dallas was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. He was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Japan, during the Korean War, where he attained the rank of Corporal. Mr. Angstadt was employed as the Road Supervisor for Rockland Township for 28 years, until his retirement in 1996.  He was also a self-employed fruit farmer in Rockland Township for many years, where he owned and operated Three Springs Farm. He was a past Master of Pioneer Grange #1777, Topton, and was a member of the Berks County Fruit Growers Association. Dallas was a jokester and enjoyed teasing other people, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to those who helped spread the word of Dallas’s disappearance on Friday, and to those who took the time to help search for him. They are forever grateful.

In addition to his Wife of 61 years, Anna, Dallas is survived by his Sons, Myles G. Angstadt, Arndtsville, Adams Co., Clay P., husband of Beth A. (Huff) Angstadt, Rockland Township; Daughters, Connie M., wife of Herman A. Manbeck, Womelsdorf, Holly A., wife of Glenn D. Allen, Rockland Township; Son-in-law, Richard A. Gangawere, husband of predeceased Daughter, Julie K. (Angstadt) Gangawere, who died June 14, 2010; Brother, Larry G. Angstadt, Rockland Township; and Sister,  Linda D. (Angstadt) Bullock, Fleetwood. There are also 8 Grandchildren, Anita, Crystal, Rebecca, Matthew, Andrew, Jonathan, Jordan, Clinton; and 10 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his Parents, Daughter, and Sister, Jean (Angstadt) Hayes this past December .

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown with his pastor, Reverend Ruth F. Doty, officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, and the Pennsylvania Military Honor Guard, Annville, will follow in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home .

The family requests that contributions be made in Dallas’s memory to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA  19522 . Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
