Dale R Hertzog

Dale R. Hertzog, 50, of Longswamp Township died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Lisa F. (Anderson) Hertzog. They were married on October 10, 1992.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Carl W. and Betty J. (Blank) Hertzog. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis. He was a 1981 graduate of East Penn High School, Emmaus. He was employed in maintenance at SODEXO, Allentown, for 33 years last working in May of 2012. He was a member of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton; the Alburtis and Kutztown Rod and Gun Clubs; and, the Nimrods, Alburtis. Dale was an avid hunter.

He is survived by Wife, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Dorothy L. (Loncaric) and Robert C. Anderson, Bethlehem; Sisters, Kay C. (Hertzog) Balascak, Coopersburg, Judy A. (Hertzog) Meyers, Alburtis, Linda D. (Hertzog) wife of William J. DeLong, Allentown, Donna L. (Hertzog) wife of Michael Lasko, Allentown; Brothers, Alan M. husband of Joan A. (Witczac) Hertzog, Calabash, NC, Dennis C. husband of Gloria (Brensinger) Hertzog, Salisbury Township, Glenn D. husband of Sandy L. (Stetler)Hertzog, Emmaus; and Sister-in-law, Dawn M. Anderson wife of Thomas Horvath, Slatington.

Funeral Services are Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Family and friends are invited to call Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th Street, Allentown, PA 18103. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
