Craig Allen Hertzog

Craig Allen Hertzog, 49, of Rockland Township, died on Saturday, July 28, 2017, in his home surrounded by his loving family, following a valiant battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Diane L. Bryant Hertzog. They were married June 18, 2011.

Born in Kutztown, he was a son of Noel P. Hertzog, Kutztown, and the late Patricia A. (Miller) Hertzog, who died October 9, 2015.  Craig was a member of Lighthouse Community Church, Lyon Station, where he played drums as a member of the worship team.  Mr. Hertzog was previously employed by Ryly's Service Station, Kutztown, and as a laborer in the Sanitation Department by the Borough of Kutztown.  Craig served as a former volunteer for Kutztown Ambulance, loved to travel, play the drums, and in his younger years was an avid roller skater.

In addition to his Wife of six years, Diane, Craig is survived by a Daughter, Ashley L. (Hertzog) wife of Andrew C. Christman, Topton; Step Daughter, Lorie A. (Bryant) Schmoyer, Springfield, Mass.; and a Step Son, Brent P. Bryant, Kutztown. Other survivors include a Sister, Donna M. (Hertzog) wife of Arlan D. Bechtel, Fleetwood. There is also a Grandson, Damien A. Hertzog.  In addition to his Mother, Patricia, Craig was predeceased by a Daughter, Amanda Rose Hertzog, December 19, 1983; 4 Brothers, Dallas H. Hertzog, June 21, 1983; Kerry W. Hertzog, September 25, 1993; Kevin Hertzog; and Rickey Hertzog.

Funeral services for Craig will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 3:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with his pastor, Pastor Alton R. Zentner, officiating. There will be a viewing Wednesday, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
