Mr. Craig A. Mittl

Craig A. Mittl, 59, formerly of Kutztown, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 in Good Shepherd Home - Raker Center, Allentown, where he was a resident since 2007, after sustaining critical injuries in a motorcycle accident. Born in Allentown, Craig was a son of the late Frank and Shirley A. (Scheirer) Mittl.

Craig was a 1981 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, and was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, last working in October 2007. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown and enjoyed everything outdoors including camping, hunting and fishing. Craig was an avid racing enthusiast and was part of a race team that ran at Grandview Speedway. He also participated in races at Maple Grove Raceway.

Craig is survived by his two sons, Chadwick J. Mittl, U.S. Marine Corps, currently stationed overseas, and Chase J. Mittl, Boyertown; and a brother, Michael F., husband of Kimberly A. (Fronheiser) Mittl, Wildwood, FL.

A graveside service to celebrate and honor Craig's life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, with The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassaman officiating. A visitation with his family will be held from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. A procession will depart at 1:45 p.m. from the funeral home to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Craig's memory to Good Shepherd Home c/o The Raker Center, 850 S. 5th Street, Allentown, PA 18103, in appreciation of the wonderful care that they gave to Craig.
