Clyde E. Steffy, 75, of Grim Road, Kutztown, died Friday, February 23, 2007, in his residence. He was the husband of Nancy F. (Keiser) Steffy. They were married July 21, 1956.

Born in Sinking Spring, PA, he was a son of the late Morris W. and the late Ella M. (Yelk) Steffy. He was an industrial engineer for 30 years at Mack Truck, at the Allentown and Winnsboro, SC plants until his retirement in 1989; He was also co-owner of the Topton Carwash from 1966 to 1987. He was a member of Saint Peter’s UCC Church, Topton, where he served on the consistory for several years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War serving as Sergeant with Company A, 9 th Ordinance, Battalion. He was a life member of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, and of Veteran of Foreign War Post #9045, Mohnton. He was past president of the Topton Jaycees, and a 50 year member and past president of the Patriotic Order of Sons of America, Camp 211, Mohnton. In addition, he was a former member of the Brandywine Height Area School Board and served as the representative to Berks County Vocational-Technical School during the 1970’s. He was a founding member of Camp BOW TOP, Lycoming County.

He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Ann Marie (Steffy) Myers, Douglasville, Donna L. (Steffy) wife of Michael DeLoretta, Jr., Fleetwood, Debra S. (Steffy) wife of R. Scott Mengel, Kutztown; 4 Grandchildren, Ashley Myers, Taryn Myers, Erin Bauer, Caleb Bauer; Step Grandson, Brent Mengel. He was predeceased by Brothers, Willard and Eugene Steffy.

Funeral Services are Monday, February 26, 2007, at 2:00 PM from Saint Peter’s UCC Church, 122 West Franklin Street, Topton. Interment with military honors in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Monday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made to Saint Peter’s UCC Church Memorial Fund, 122 West Franklin St., Topton 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
