Clifford R. Dietrich, 86, of Lenhartsville, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown. He was the widower of Joyce C. (Snyder) Dietrich, who died October 3, 2021, and whom he celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary with prior to her passing.
Born in Greenwich Township, PA, Clifford was a son of the late Harvey S. and Edna K. E. (Dietrich) Dietrich and was a 1957 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. Clifford also attended The Pennsylvania State University for two years. Clifford was a dedicated and hard-working farmer for over 60 years. He also was employed by Kraft Foods, Inc., Fogelsville, for 25 years, and operated the former Country Harvest Produce Stand in Kutztown for many years.
He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, a dedicated member of Grace Church Kutztown and an active member of Gideons International. Clifford was a lifelong member of Virginville Grange #1832 and a proud member of the Berks County Patriots. Clifford was a man of quiet strength, known for his warmth and the kindness he showed to others. His reflective nature led him to deeply appreciate life's simple pleasures including spending time with family, reading, music, hoe downing and desserts. Clifford cherished his Pennsylvania Dutch heritage and enjoyed conversing in his first language with anyone who knew the dialect. For many years he volunteered at the Kutztown Folk Festival, the Pennsylvania German Heritage Center at Kutztown University and at local voting polls. He found joy in the small moments, leaving a lasting legacy of love and wisdom to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Clifford is survived by daughters Joan (Dietrich), wife of John Dietrich, Kutztown, and Lisa (Dietrich), wife of Bryan Peters, Fogelsville; son, David Dietrich, Kempton; grandchildren Aaron Dietrich, and wife Chastity (Cook), Christian Dietrich, Jed Dietrich, and wife Erin (Hoffer), Breton Dietrich, Chelsea (Dietrich) German, and husband Justin, Tyler Dietrich, and wife Angela (Corrado), Julia (Peters) Shoff, and husband Damian, Laura Peters, Bryan Peters, Jr., and wife Terra (Ali), Lydia Peters, Jacob Peters, and Katie Peters; great grandchildren, Parker Thompson, Ellie, Nova and Han Dietrich, Coralynn and Emilia German, Blayke Kranch, Abraham, Samson, Lazarus and Eleazar Shoff and Georgia Peters; and many nieces and nephews.
