Clark M Benfield

Clark M. Benfield, age 52, of 1213 Huff Church Road, Barto, Hereford Township PA, died Friday, January 12, 2001 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. PA. He was the Husband of Joanne E. (Schmoyer) Benfield. The couple celebrated their 29th Anniversary this past July.

Born in Allentown PA, he was the Son of the late Walter A. and the late Alverta M. (Moll) Benfield. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bloomsburg University in 1971. He was the owner/operator of Benfield Insurance Agency, Barto, a subsidiary of Pennsurance, Inc., Oley PA. He was a certified Insurance Counselor.

He was a Member of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. He was currently serving as an Officer of the Sunday School. He was a former Sunday school teacher. He currently was a member of the Senior Choir. He was also currently a consistory member and also an Elder of the Church. He was a past president of the Union Church Council. He is the current president of Bally Saving Bank, Bally, serving in that capacity since 1999. Prior to that he held the position of Trustee since 1989. He was the former scout master of Boy Scout Troop 515, Huffs Church.

He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Matthew C. Benfield of Paoli PA and Jonathan E. Benfield of Whitehall PA; Sisters, Jeanette M. (Benfield) Schmoyer of Allentown PA, Lois M. (Benfield) Swann of Annapolis MD and Elaine M. (Benfield) Young of Pitman PA. He was predeceased in death by an infant son.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2001, at 10:30 AM from the Huff United Church of Christ Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Interment in Huffs Church Union Cemetery, Alburtis. Friends may call Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Ludwick Funeral Homes, 25 East Weis Street, Topton, and Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church.
