Clair P. Strozyk, 66, of Longswamp Township, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in his residence.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Mae H. Strozyk, Kutztown and the late Walter F. Strozyk. He was the owner and operator of the former Strozyk’s Garage, Mertztown. Clair was a member of Ray A. Master Post #217, American Legion, Topton, Kutztown Rod and Gun Club, and Kutztown and Lyons Fire Companies. He was a modified stock car race team owner with Preston and Lance Hoch, and an avid racing enthusiast.
He is survived by Son, Shawn P. Strozyk, Sr.; Sister, Beverly A. (Strozyk) wife of Robert H. Schoedler, all of Kutztown. There are 3 Grandchildren, Brittney L. Strozyk, Shawn P. Strozyk, Jr., and Michael T. Strozyk, and a Great Grandson, Christopher T. Strozyk. He was predeceased by a Son, Christopher W. Strozyk on May 8, 2000 and a Brother, Richard B. Strozyk on September 6, 1975.
Memorial Services are Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
The family requests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 4383, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
