Christine T Epler

Christine T. Epler, age 72, of 1 South Home Avenue, Longswamp Twp., Topton PA, formerly lived in Exeter Township, Berks County PA, died Friday, January 19, 2001 in the Topton Lutheran Home, were she resided. She is the wife of William H. Epler, who resides at the Topton Lutheran Home, Topton. They celebrated their 27th Wedding Anniversary this past May. Her first husband, Richard E. Miller, died April 29, 1974.

Born in Reading PA, she was the Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Helen (Walkowiak) Leonardziak. She was a graduate of the Saint Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her degree as a Registered Nurse. She was the Directress of Nursing at Wyomissing Lodge and Nursing Home, Reading for over 10 years. She also did various private-duty nursing assignments. She was a member of Grave Lutheran Church, Topton PA.

She is survived by her Husband; Sons, Richard J. Miller of Cosby TN and Jeffrey A. Miller of Mohnton PA; Daughter, Melanie A. (Miller) Miller of Wyomissing PA; Step Daughter, Marcia E. Epler of Philadelphia PA; Step Son, Kim B. Epler of Wernersville PA; Seven Grandchildren, One Great Granddaughter and One Step Grandson.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, January 22, 2001 at 11:00 AM from Grace Lutheran Church, of the Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 South Home Avenue, Topton PA. Internment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, Exeter Township PA. Friends may call Monday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Homess, Inc., 25 East Weiss Street, Topton PA.
