Charles R Readinger

Charles R. Readinger, 92, formerly of Lyon Station, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wyomissing.

Born in Lyon Station he was a son of the late Paul R. and Margaret E. (Reed) Readinger. He was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Dryville. He was employed as a laborer at the former General Seating Company, Topton, from 1950 until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Readinger was a member for many years and served as an assistant fire chief with the Lyons Fire Company, Lyon Station.

He is survived by Sister, Nancy Lou Readinger, Kutztown. In addition, there are many nieces and nephews. Mr. Readinger was predeceased by a Sister in infancy and a Sister, Virginia J. (Readinger) Geiger and Brothers, Paul A. Reading and Kermit Readinger.

Funeral Services are Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville. Friends may call Monday, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Lyons Fire Company Truck Crew, P.O. Box 5, Lyon Station, PA 19536-0005. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
