Charles P. Moser, 78, of Kutztown, formerly of Lyon Station, died Monday, March 12, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was a patient one day. He was the husband of Florence L. (Schnabel) Moser. They were married April 11, 1953.

Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Paul F. Sr. and Alverta (Smith) Moser. Mr. Moser was a laborer at the former Saucony Shoe Factory, Kutztown from 1949 to 1978. He then worked as an Acid Mixer at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyon Station until his retirement in 2001. He was a long-time member, current Vice President and a past president of the annual Race Fest in Lyon Station. He also was a member of Kutztown Fire Company, Kutzotwn Rod & Gun Club, Pike Township Sportsmens Association, Hamburg Moose, Home Association of Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion, Topton, Strausstown Rod & Gun Club, Orioles, Fleetwood and Mertztown Rod & Gun Club. Charlie was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Brenda L. (Moser) wife of Scott R. Kamp, Hamburg; there is also a Granddaughter, Jessica L. Kamp and a Brother, Paul F. Moser, Jr. He was predeceased by a Sister, Dorothy (Moser) Herman and a Brother Vernon Moser.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012, 2:00 PM in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. There are no calling hours.
