Charles J. Loch, 88, of Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Arden Court, Wescosville. He was the husband of Laila A. (Angstadt) Loch. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 14th.
Born in Weisenberg Township, he was a son of the late Clarence A. H. and Verna Mae (Wessner) Loch. He was a member of the U.C.C. congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breinigsville. Mr. Loch was a self-employed dairy farmer in Weisenberg Township for over 62 years. He also was known as the "Potato Man" on his huckster route in the Topton area. Charles was a member of the Old Time Plow Boys, Kutztown, Topton Pioneer Grange #1777, Kutztown Fire Company and the Kempton Gun Club.
He is survived by Wife; Daughter, Karen A. (Loch) wife of William T. Boyd, Mertztown; Sons, Martin C., husband of Laura C. (Stauffer) Loch, Dennis C. Loch, and Joel K., husband of Brenda A. (Rabert) Loch, all of Kutztown; Grandchildren, Loretta M. (Loch) wife of Thomas Sterner, Edward M. Loch, Rebecca P. (Boyd) wife of Donald Nissley, Melanie E. (Boyd) wife of Michael Fink, Dora L. (Boyd) wife of Jowal Simons, and Shana R. (Boyd) wife of Joshua Hanna. There are also 12 Great Grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by Brothers, Paul and Lester C. Loch.
Funeral Services are Thursday, July 5, 2012, 11:00 AM from Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.
The family requests contributions be made to Ziegels UCC Church at the above address. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
