Charles J. Gilmore, 74, of Greenwich Township, died Thursday, July 1, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was a patient since June 21, 2016. Charles was the widower of Carol Ann (Booth) Gilmore, who died February 1, 2011.
Born in Bentleyville, Washington County, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Emmuella (Castallana) Gilmore. Charles was a 1960 graduate of Bentleyville High School. He honorably and faithfully served his country as a Specialist in the United States Army. Mr. Gilmore worked as a financial controller for many years prior to purchasing Express Personnel Service. He owned and operated four locations, Lancaster, Harrisburg, York and Reading, until his retirement in 1998.
He is survived by Son, Charles J., II, husband of Joann (Yale) Gilmore and Daughter, Lorelei J. (Gilmore) wife of Steve Fenstermacher, both of Lenhartsville. Other survivors include, Grandchildren, Benjamin M.; Charles J., III; Steven J.; Amanda L.; and Emily E. a Sister, Deborah; and Brothers, Robert, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County; Richard, McClure, Snyder County; Michael and Arthur, both of Nazareth.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment in Hope Cemetery Mausoleum, Kutztown.
Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
