Catherine S Winter

Catherine S. Winter, age 90, of Phoebe Home, Allentown PA, formerly of Jackson Street, Allentown PA and Kutztown PA, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 in her residence. She was the Widow of the late Earl R. Winter who died in 1977.

Born in Middletown PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Border) Hopkins. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Allentown PA. She was past president of the Tenants Association of Little Lehigh Manor from 1980 to 1985. She worked as a roller at the General Cigar Factory, Steelton, PA for 10 years; her husband and her Owned and Operated the former Winter's Sweet Shop, Fleetwood, from 1940 to 1943; and she was the manager of the former Dainty Shoppe, Allentown, from 1943 to 1948.

She is survived by her Daughters, Jackie C. (Winter) Brown of Topton PA, Dorie E. (Winter) Weidner of Peoria AR and Maureen L. (Winter) Schiffert of Allentown PA; 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 20, 2002 in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue and Smith Street, Topton. Family and Friends may call 10:00 AM until time of services. Interment in Hope Cemetery, Dryville PA. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Topton PA.
