Mrs. Caroline M. Delong

Caroline M. (Rothrock) DeLong, 93, formerly of Longswamp Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She was the widow of Clarence D. "Whitey" DeLong, who died on December 3, 1993.

Born in Allentown, Caroline was a daughter of the late Herbert F. and Sadie V. (Stoudt) Rothrock. She was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown and worked as a Housekeeper at The Lutheran Home at Topton, for five years. Caroline was an avid BINGO player and loved to crochet and play games.

Caroline is survived by her four children, William P. DeLong, Titusville, FL, Arlan C. DeLong, Alburtis, Steven C. DeLong, and Fay L. DeLong, Macungie; grandchildren, Ryan DeLong, Crystal Birch, and four others; and one great-granddaughter, Kyra. Along with her husband and parents, Caroline was predeceased by a son, Joe Mark DeLong on December 1, 2016; and five siblings.

Graveside services and burial in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, PA will be held privately.
