Carol L. (Hauck) Erb, 87, formerly of Kutztown, died peacefully, Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in her Tower Court residence on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton where she was a resident for several years. She was the widow of Lee W. Erb, who died March 3, 2022, just two days shy of their 62nd wedding anniversary. Born in Allentown, Carol was the daughter of the late Orville E. and Louise M. During Carol's professional career as a teacher and coach in both the Kutztown and Brandywine Heights School Districts, Carol positively impacted her students. She was passionate about building their confidence, acknowledging their unique gifts, and encouraging them to accept themselves as they were. After 30 dedicated years, Carol retired from education.

In the community, Carol was a member of the Women's Club of Kutztown and a member of Kutztown Area Historical Society, serving on its Board of Directors for several years. Carol made it known that family was important to her, and she found great pleasure in spending time with them, especially attending the sports, concerts, and performance events of her five grandchildren. Carol also enjoyed traveling, especially vacationing in Myrtle Beach with Lee after her retirement. Wherever Carol went, she made friends.
