Carol A Kunkel

Carol A. Kunkel, 56, of Topton, died Friday, September 25, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township after a brief illness.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Willard L. and Betty M. (Dotterer) Kunkel at home. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton where she was the president of the WELCA and the Chair of the Worship and Music. She was the Chair Person of the WELCA of East Berks. She was a past president of the church council and long time council member. She was a member of the Singles Group in the Lehigh Valley, member of the Topton Centennial Committee, and Judge of Election for Topton. She was employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, for 33 years, most recently working as an executive secretary to the Chair of Pathology. Carol was a 1971 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School and a 1975 graduate of Kutztown University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

She is survived by Parents, Godchild, Linda Batemarco, Peekskill, NY. She is also survived by several uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at 2:00 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue & East Smith Street, Topton. Interment will be in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM and Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service in the church.
