Rev. Bruce Donald Hatt, 74 of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Kutztown and Topton, died Thursday, October 2, 2003, in his home. He was married to Mildred (Yoder) Hatt for 51 years.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Clair and Catharine (Matz) Hatt. A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, and Lancaster Theological Seminary, he was an ordained United Church of Christ minister for more than 40 years, and was pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, 1957-64. He also served pastorates in Rebersburg, Centre County, San Antonio, Texas, Las Vegas, Nev., and Topton. He was the first executive director of East Penn Camps of the United Church of Christ from 1964-1970, operating camping facilities at Camp Mensch Mill near Huffs Church and Camp Fernbrook near Pottstown.

He is survived Wife; Sons, Thomas of Chandler, Ariz., Brian of Houston, Texas, David of Universal City, Texas, Steven of Payson, Ariz., Robert of Buxton, Ore.; 9 Grandchildren, a Great Grandson.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 2:00 PM in St. John’s United Church of Christ, 257 West Walnut Street, Kutztown. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
