Mr. Brian Lee Landis

Brian Lee "Draino" "Drain Plug" Landis, 53, of Richmond Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, Allentown, after a three month battle with cancer.

He was the longtime companion of Melinda K. (Reinert) Miller, with whom he resided. Born in Allentown, Brian was a son of Ralph J. and Jane L. (Oswald) Landis, of Kutztown, and was a 1987 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton.

For the past 20 years, Brian worked as a Carpenter at Stanley W. Bauman, Jr., General Contractor, Inc., Topton. Prior to that, he was employed as a Materials Handler at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons, for 16 years.

Brian was a member of the Lyons Fire Company, Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton, Wellsboro Social Club, and the Kutztown, Mertztown and Rockland Rod and Gun Clubs. Brian was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting and camping, especially the trips to Tioga County, Knoebels, and The Glen. He also enjoyed playing cards and was a die-hard NASCAR fan and was always routing for his favorite drivers; Chase Elliott and his father, Bill Elliott, or Matt Kenseth.

Along with his companion Melinda and parents Ralph and Jane, Brian is survived by his sister, Stacey S. (Landis), wife of Thomas J., Sawyer, Dryville; brother, Michael B. Landis, Lyons; nephew, Tyler J. Strohl, Dryville; Melinda's sister, Dawn L. (Reinert), wife of Kirk D. Dreibelbis, Kutztown; and countless friends who will greatly miss him.

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Brian's life will be held on Thursday evening, August 18, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassman officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be held privately in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
