Bradford B. "Brad" Bachman, 60, of Mertztown, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024 in Good Shepherd Penn Partners, Philadelphia, PA. He was the loving husband of Laura L. (Chilcote) Bachman, whom he married on September 3, 1995.
Born in West Berlin, Germany, Bradford was a son of the late Braden and Florence (Wong) Bachman. Bradford was a 1982 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli, where he was active in Basketball, Band, National Honor Society, and Track and Field.
Following his high school graduation, Bradford earned his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and a Master's Degree from Drexel University in Engineering Management. Bradford honorably and faithfully served his country in The United States Army.
Brad was employed as an Engineer by Zeus World Industries Inc., Branchburg, NJ, for 10 years. Prior to that, Brad worked at Armstrong Flooring in Marietta, PA. Brad was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Orefield and The American Pool Association. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing golf, music, and was an extreme "movie buff". Brad was a sports lover and diehard fan of all the Philadelphia teams and Penn State.
Along with his wife, Laura, Bradford is survived by his two sons, Brandon B. Bachman, companion of Tori Ridenour, Lenhartsville, and Bryce B. Bachman, at home; two sisters, Jeanette (Bachman), wife of Richard Arteca, State College, and Suzanne Bachman, Philadelphia; and a brother, James Bachman, New Tripoli.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday evening, June 17, 2024 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. A time for sharing memories will begin at 7:45 p.m.
A graveside service to celebrate and honor Bradford's life and burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Ebenezer Union Cemetery, 7293 Decatur Street, New Tripoli, PA. Military honors provided by the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, PA, will conclude the service.
