Ms. Bonnie L. Solt

Bonnie L. Solt, 71, of Mertztown, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. Born in Allentown, Bonnie was a daughter of the late Manassas W. and Annie V. (Hess) Solt. She was a graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Topton and Kutztown State College, now Kutztown University, where she received her bachelor's degree in education. Bonnie was employed by Knoll, Inc., East Greenville for many years.

She was a very talented and accomplished woodworker and musician. She refinished the woodwork in her entire home and she played the hammer dulcimer, which she played in the annual Nei Yaahrs Winsch. Bonnie was a member of The Longswamp Township Historical Society and Longswamp United Church of Christ. She loved the outdoors, bird watching, and researching her family genealogy and ancestry.

Bonnie is survived by her two sisters-in-laws, Shirley H. (Rohrbach) Solt, Mertztown, and Shirley A. (Miller) Solt, Blandon; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Along with her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by siblings, Betty G. (Solt) Geist, Edwin U. Solt, Paul L. Solt, Floyd Solt, Lee D. Solt, Sr., and Russell R. Solt.

The family will host a memorial service to celebrate and honor Bonnie's life on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in Longswamp United Church of Christ, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown, with The Reverend Kimberly Berenotto officiating. There will be no visitation time or burial.
