Beverly A. (Gressley) Hilbert, 80, of Alburtis, died peacefully Friday, April 15, 2022, in Willow Brook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kutztown, with her loving husband, William by her side. They were married December 7, 1968. Born in Allentown, Beverly was a daughter of the late Harold S. and A. Marcella (Moyer) Gressley.
Beverly was a graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School, Class of 1959. She continued her education at Kutztown University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1963. During her teaching career of nearly 40 years, Beverly received her Master's Degree in Education from Kutztown University. Beverly taught her entire career at Longswamp Elementary School of the Brandywine Heights Area School District, primarily teaching third grade.
An accomplished musician, Beverly loved to play the piano, sharing her talent with many. Beverly also held a private pilot's license flying frequently from Kutztown Airport where she stored her single engine plane.
Beverly enjoyed gardening, especially rose gardening and caring for her property.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 53 years, William. Sisters: Linda L. (Gressley), wife of Raymond H. Lorish, Alburtis; and Gail A. (Gressley), wife of Scott N. Rothermel, Alburtis.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate and Honor Beverly's life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, with Reverend Dr. Jennifer M. Bannerman, officiating. Inurnment in Huff's Church Union Cemetery. Relatives and Friends may call on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the church.
The family suggests contributions be considered in Beverly's memory to Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011.
