Mrs. Beulah Irene Adams

Beulah Irene (Houptley) Adams, 96, of Kutztown, and formerly a resident of Keystone Villa, Blandon, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown, where she was a resident since November, 2023. She was the widow of Harold L. Adams, who died on June 26, 2005, and whom she married on October 19, 1946.

Born in Rockland Township, Berks County, PA, Beulah was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Susana (Delp) Houptley. She was employed by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, for 20 years, working in the cable division. In her younger years, Beulah was employed by the former WentonShoe Co., Kutztown. She enjoyed playing BINGO, even during her time at Keystone Villa and Willow Brook.

Beulah is survived by her son, Ronald H., husband of Sharon M. (Hilbert) Adams, Myrtle Beach, SC; two granddaughters, Jennifer L. (Adams), wife of Paul D. Bisson, Liverpool, NY, and Stacy Leigh (Adams), wife of Brian W. Bergeron, Jefferson, MA; and four great-grandchildren, Rebecca L. Bisson, fiancé of Brett Leavitt, Manhattan, NY, Justin R. Bisson, Long Island City, NY, Chloe M. Bergeron and Elin P. Bergeron, both of Jefferson, MA.

Along with her husband and parents, Beulah was predeceased by her siblings, Mamie Rohrbach, Mabel Angstadt, Pearl Anderson, Stella Moser, Charles Houptley, Paul Houptley and Clarence Houptley.

A private funeral service to celebrate and honor Beulah's life will be held in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., Kutztown, with The Rev. James Schlegel officiating. Private burial in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, will conclude services.
