Betty M Schroeder

Betty M. Schroeder, 80, of Kutztown, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in her residence. She was the wife of Randall W. Schroeder. They were married April 19, 1952.

Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Walter L. and Helen R. (Dietrich) Baker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where she served as a former Sunday school teacher and a church council member, previously serving as council secretary. Betty was a 1948 graduate of Kutztown High School, and a 1950 graduate of the former Reading Business Institute. She was employed as a secretary for 20 years by Kutztown University, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, she was employed as a secretary by Glidden Paint Co., at its former Reading location.

She is survived by Husband, Daughters, Eileen E. Schroeder, Madison, WI, Joan L. (Schroeder) wife of Brett Miller, Quarryville, PA, Barbara L. Schroeder, wife of Jonathan Peters, State College, PA; Son, Nelson R., husband of Iris (Robertshaw) Schroeder, Sinking Spring, PA. There are also 10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 W. Main Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.
