Betty J. (Kehm) Kemp, 84, of Alburtis, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Raymond A. Kemp, Sr., who died on June 29, 1998.
Born in Alburtis, Betty was a daughter of the late Freddie V. and Lillie A. (Hilbert) Kehm. Mrs. Kemp was a member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis. She worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, for 30 years. Betty loved to play BINGO. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially around the holidays.
She is survived by 2 Daughters, Susan J. (Kemp), wife of George W. Kistler, Jr., Topton, and Donna M. (Kemp), wife of Ronald J. Miller, Alburtis; 2 Sons, Ronald R. husband of Karen L. (Schmeltzle) Kemp, Emmaus, and Raymond A. Kemp, Jr., Alburtis; a Sister, Lillian K. (Kehm), widow of Webster Diehl, Maryland. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton, with Reverend Dr. Herbert H. Michel, officiating. Interment will follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
The family requests contributions be made in Betty's memory to Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 8291 Spring Creek Road, Alburtis, PA 18011. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
