Betty J. (Seibert) Keim, 97, formerly of Mertztown, died peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, in the Laurel Center, Hamburg, PA, where she was a resident since 2004. She was a daughter of the late William P. and Ella M. (Moyer) Seibert. She was the wife of the late John W. Keim, who died October 18, 1997.
Mrs. Keim was employed as a cook at the former Terry's Restaurant, New Smithville, in the 1980's and 1990's. Prior to that she was a cook at the former Kemps Hotel, Kutztown, and Brandywine Heights Elementary Schools during the 1960 and 1970's.
Betty was a member of St. Peter's Union Church, Macungie.
Survivors: Betty is survived by a son, Daniel J., husband of Aneice K. (Roth) Keim, Columbia, SC; a daughter-in-law, Faye M. (Long) Keim, Macungie, widow of predeceased son, Richard G. Keim, . Other survivors include six grandchildren: Lori, Marci, Derek, Jennifer, Stephen and Phillip; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, beloved husband John, Betty was predeceased by sons Raymond W. Keim in 1968, and Richard G. Keim in 2015; and sisters, Arlene H. M. (Seibert) Kehm; and AnnaMae (Seibert) Meck.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Betty's life will be held in Saint Peter's Union Cemetery, Macungie, at the convenience of the family. There are no public viewing or calling hours.
