Betty E Oswald

Betty E. (Isamoyer) Oswald, 91, formerly of Mertztown, died peacefully, Saturday, July 30, 2016, in The Lutheran Home at Topton. Betty was the widow of Charles W. Oswald, who died January 14, 1995.

Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Betty, was a daughter of the late George U., Sr., and Irene E. (Guldin) Isamoyer. Mrs. Oswald was a member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny.  She was a homemaker.

Betty is survived by 3 Daughters, Patricia A. (Oswald) wife of Glenroy A. Miller, Emmaus, Nancy I. (Oswald) wife of Michael T. Taniser, Slatington and Peggy L. (Oswald) wife of Edward C. Morgan, Macungie.  Other survivors include, 2 Sisters, Anna P. (Isamoyer) widow of Fred E. Eisenhard, Macungie and Jean I. (Isamoyer) widow of Niles R. Althouse, Mertztown; 2 Brothers, George husband of Irene Isamoyer, Mertztown and Edwin C. Isamoyer, Fleetwood. There are also 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her Husband and Parents, Betty was predeceased by her Sister, Joyce L. (Isamoyer) Neimeyer and Brothers, Herbert Y. Isamoyer and Harold Isamoyer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 11:00 AM from Zion's Union Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, with Reverend Jeffrey J. Butz, officiating. Interment will following in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday, 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions be made in Betty's memory to Zion's Union Church Building Fund, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
