Benjamin P. Herman

Benjamin P. Herman, 92, of Allentown and formerly of Kutztown, PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. He was the loving husband of Mildred E. (Reimert) Herman, also a resident of DevonHouse Senior Living, Allentown, whom he married on December 18, 1998.

Born in Reading, PA, Benjamin was the son and only child of the late Banjamin A. and Ruth E. (Pott) Herman. He was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School and Gettysburg College. Ben was employed by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Trexlertown, for nearly 50 years until his retirement.

He was an avid golfer, loved to care for his lawn, which always had to be pristine, and had a love for his cars, always making sure that they were in showroom condition.

Along with his wife Mildred, Benjamin is survived by his two children, Jill (Herman) Klinger and Tod Herman; three step-children, Darlene (Miller) Tompkins, Theresa (Miller) Corrado and Duren Devin; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one great-great grandson.

Services for Ben will be held privately by his family with burial in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.
