Barry W Moyer

Barry W. Moyer, 69, of Maidencreek Township, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in his residence. He was the loving husband of Andrea L. Overfield, whom he married on October 11, 1986.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, Barry was a son of the late Francis J. and Eleanor S. (Strock) Moyer. Barry was Methodist in faith. He was a graduate of Kutztown University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and after graduation, worked as a teacher for several years. For most of his career, Barry worked in the construction business, most recently as a General Manager at Appleby Window Systems, Inc., Allentown, for many years until his retirement. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Barry was a member of Reading Motorcycle Club, Oley. He was also a member of Reading Company Booster Club, Inc., Temple, Kutztown Fire Company, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #839, Kutztown, PA.

In addition to the love of his life, Andie, Barry was the proud father of Michael C. Moyer, husband of Janel Bushman-Moyer, Oceanview, DE, and is also survived by his extended Overfield family. He was predeceased by his Parents; and by a Brother, David Moyer in 2001.

At Barry’s request, there will be no services.
