Barbara B. Loeffler

May 31, 1929 — October 22, 2022

Barbara B. (Bowen) Loeffler, 93, formerly of Stony Run and Emmaus died peacefully Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Country Meadows of Bethlehem, surrounded by her loving family.  Barbara was the widow of George C. Loeffler, who died October 28, 2016.  Born in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Wilfrid W. and Katharine K. (Knaebel) Bowen.  Barbara was a member of the Episcopal Church, attending Saint Anne's, Trexlertown, where she was a member of the choir and was involved with several committees and designed and produced the church newsletter for several years.  For the last several years, Barbara attended Saint Andrew's Church, Allentown.

Barbara was a graduate of Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA, where she received a B.A. in physics.  Barbara continued her education at Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA, where she received a Master's Degree in Chemistry.

Following a short time at Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, Barbara went on to operate a graphic arts and printing business until her retirement.

Barbara is survived by two daughters: Ann L. (Loeffler), wife of Grant L. Kotz, Alburtis; and Carol C. Loeffler, Carlisle, Cumberland County. There are also 2 Granddaughters, Sharon L. Kotz and Laura B. Kotz.

Memorial Eucharist will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Allentown, PA 18109, with The Rev. T. Scott Allen, as celebrant.  Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.

The family requests contributions be considered in Barbara's memory to Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1900 Pennsylvania Ave., Allentown, PA 18109.
