Barbara A. Heckman

Barbara A. (Arnold) Heckman, 79, formerly of Kutztown, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, in The Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late George H. Arnold and Helen M. (Showalter) widow of John H. Adams.  Barbara graduated from Frackville Vo-Tech with a diploma in practical nursing.  She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Tremont Nursing Home, Tremont, Schuylkill County, then in the same capacity at Kutztown Manor Nursing Home from 1990 until 2001.  Barbara then worked as a sales associate at Walmart, Trexlertown, until her retirement in 2004.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sandra A. Hartman, Reading; Judy A. Hartman, Belleville, Michigan; Lorraine A. (Hartman) Kopinetz, Boyertown; son Thomas A. Hartman, address unknown.  Other survivors include a sister Fietta J. (Arnold) widow of Willard Schaeffer, Kutztown.  There are ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by a brother, Dennis G. Arnold.

Services for Barbara will be private at the convenience of the family.
