Avateen M Dries

Avateen M. Heater Dries, 90, of Kutztown, formerly of Mertztown, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Curtis L. Dries who died on May 5, 1999. Her first husband, Harold R. Heater, died in 1956.

Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Berdie (Helbert) Fritch. She worked as a custodian at the former Bank of Pennsylvania, now M & T Bank, for over 20 years retiring in 1997.

She is survived by Daughters Jessica A. (Heater) wife of Gary Geiger, Fleetwood, Jocelyn E. (Heater) wife of Ronald L. Ruff, Kutztown; Son, Jon L. husband of Charlotte A. (Brooks) Heater, Mertztown; 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
