Audrey M. Rentschler

Audrey M.(Dietrich) Rentschler, 85, of Kutztown, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, where she resided for several months. She was the widow of Jay T. Rentschler, who died June 21, 2006. Born in Reading, she was raised by the late John and Bertha Kramer. Audrey was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Mrs. Rentschler worked as a sewing machine operator at the blouse factory in Temple, KATOS Sportswear , Kutztown; she also worked with her husband in the former Rentschler's Bakery, Kutztown. Audrey last worked as a server in the Kutztown Elementary School Cafeteria, Kutztown, until her retirement. She was a member of East Penn Chapter #336, Order of the Eastern Star, Kutztown, and Lyon Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Lyon Station.

Audrey loved taking trips to the casinos. Her hobbies were word searches, shopping and going out to eat. She loved spending time with her family, feeding the squirrels out on her front porch and taking care of her cats. She was the biggest fan of Elvis and adored the color purple.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Linda S. (Rentschler), wife of Arlan E. Seaman, Jr., Kutztown; and a son, Michael E., husband of Linda J. (Lutz) Rentschler, Wescosville. Other survivors include five grandchildren: Lisa M. (Seaman) Bogert, Cathy L. (Seaman), wife of Perry G. Kramer, Paul J. Butler, Laura A. (Rentschler), wife of Kasey Musser, and Michael L., husband of Brittany (Mengel) Rentschler; and ten great grandchildren: Joshua G. Bogert, Nicholas J. Bogert, Logan J. Kramer, Keegan A. Kramer, Brandon A. Butler, Austin Butler, Gabriel W. Musser, Samuel Musser, Raylee N. Rentschler, and Kinsley J. Rentschler. There is also a brother, Merlin Dietrich, Tuckerton. Audrey was predeased by a daughter, Barbara A. (Rentschler) Butler, on July 16, 2004.

A funeral service to celebrate Audrey's life will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment will follow the services in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
