Asher H Green

Asher H. Green, 74, of Maxatawny Township, Kutztown, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County, where he had been a patient since March 21 ^st . He was the husband of Grace M. (Fritch) Green. They were married on June 16, 1956.

Born in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, he was a son of the late Alvin R. and Mable E. (Steigerwald) Green. He attended St. John’s UCC Church, Fogelsville. He was a lifetime self employed crop farmer in Maxatawny Township retiring in 1999. During the 1970’s he was a school bus driver for Carl R. Bieber, Kutztown. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton, the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club and the Old Time Plow Boys, both of Kutztown; and, the PA Farm Bureau.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, Randy L. Green, Mertztown, Gene S. husband of Barbara A. (Merkel) Green, Jay R. Green, both of Kutztown; Daughters, Connie L. (Green) wife of Michael A. Bollinger, Kutztown, Nancy L. (Green) wife of Lawrence S. Moyer, Fogelsville; Sisters, Betty (Green) Schrantz, Reading, Doris (Green) Bortz, and Geraldine (Green) Heffner, both of Kutztown, Janice (Green) Heffner, St. Cloud, FL; Brother, Charles Green, Kutztown; Grandchildren, Jeffrey A. husband of Megan (Schantz) Ruth, Richard M. Ruth, Jr., Nicole A. Moyer, Jonathan S. Marchiani, Jason R. Moyer, Kristina M. Green, Brandon M. Green and Courtney A. Moyer.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
