Arthur M Lewis

Arthur M. Lewis, 79, of College Garden Drive, Kutztown, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, 17 ^th & Chew Streets, Allentown, where he was a patient since February 28, 2005. He was the husband of Yvonne M. (Iles) Lewis. They were married 57 years last June 21 ^st .

Born in Hilltown, PA (Bucks County), he was the son of the late William H. Lewis, Jr. and the late Viola M. (Moyer) Lewis. He was a self-employed farmer in the Kempton area from 1947 to 1967. He was a crane operator at Berks Products, Inc., Kutztown, from 1967 until retiring in 1992. He was also a motor coach driver for Carl R. Bieber Tourways, Inc., Kutztown, from 1985 to 1995; and a delivery truck driver at Reading Kubota Bobcat, Reading, from 1995 to 2003. He was also a “Cowboy” for Hiefer Project International, Texas, in 1946. He was a lifetime member of the 4H Club, Kempton, and a leader during the 1950’s.

He is survived by Wife, Sons, Arthur B. Lewis, Mogadore, OH, Randy L. Lewis, Kutztown, Tim C. Lewis, Topton, Perry B. Lewis, Fleetwood (Rockland Twp.); Daughter, Marsha E. (Lewis) Olivia, Kutztown (Maxatawny Twp); Sisters, Elizabeth M. (Lewis) Godshall, Souderton, Mary Ellen (Lewis) Nyce, Telford, Gertrude V. (Lewis) Haas, Lenhartsville, E. Mildred (Lewis) Kozitsky, Silverdale, Bucks County; 10 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 4 Step Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kevin L. Lewis, in 1958.

Graveside Services are Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at 11:00 AM in New Bethel Cemetery, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton. Friends may call Sunday, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.
