Arthur L Trumbauer

Arthur L. Trumbauer, 98, of Allentown, formerly of District Township, Berks County, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, Kutztown, where he was a patient since January 23, 2012. He was the widower of Elsie B. (Kline) Trumbauer, who died January 26, 2006.

Born in Womelsdorf, Berks County, he was a son of the late Milton D. and Susanna (Miller) Trumbauer. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis. He was a self-employed dairy farmer in District Township from 1940 until his retirement in 1993. He also worked as a welder at Caloric Corporation at its former Topton plant from 1941 to 1953. Arthur was a route driver for the former Shoemakers Bakery, Mertztown and also was an independent Vacuum Cleaner Salesman for over 50 years. Mr. Trumbauer was a member of the Pike Township Sportsmens Association.

He is survived by Daughters, Shirley J. (Trumbauer) wife of Donald C. Peiffer, Lenhartsville, Mary A. (Trumbauer) wife of Randall Caldwell, and Carol M. (Trumbauer) Proctor, both of Manheim, Lancaster County; Sons, Terry R. husband of Alice L. (Chegwidden) Trumbauer, Exeter Township and Alan W. husband of Jennifer N. (Nemeth) Trumbauer, Easton. Other survivors include 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a Son, Ronald A. Trumbauer who died April 9, 2010; Sisters, Violet M. (Trumbauer) Miller and Eva S. (Trumbauer) Sheetz and a Granddaughter.

Funeral Services are Friday, March 9, 2012, at 10:30 AM from Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis. Interment in Huffs Church Union Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown and Friday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM in the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Huffs Union Church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
