Arthur J. Wagner, Jr., 81, of Greenwich Township died Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Manor Care, Allentown. He was the husband of June H. (Hoch) Wagner. They were married December 3, 1955.
Born in Lower Nazareth Township, he was a son of the late Arthur J., Sr., and Ethel M. (Shook) Wagner. He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Arthur was a US Army Veteran serving in 1953 to 1955 in the 25th Combat Unit Signal Corp, during the Korean War. He was a 1950 graduate of Palmerton High School, a 1952 graduate of the former Allentown Business College, and a 1953 graduate of the former Bethlehem Business College.
Arthur was employed as a supervisor of engineering accounting at Pennsylvania Power and Light Co., Allentown, for 37 years retiring in 1992. He served as the chairmen for the Pennsylvania Power & Light Federal Credit Union Credit Committee. He was the Northeast Governor of the Edsel Owners Club, Inc. and was recognized for outstanding contributions to the EOC in 1990. He served for 10 years as President and 12 years as Treasurer of the Keystone Chapter of the Edsel Owners Club, Inc. Arthur was also a member of the International Edsel Club, Inc. He was a member of The Antique Automobile Club of America, Ontelaunee Region, Inc. He was also a member of the Thunderbird Club of the Lehigh Valley.
He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Lori Gale (Wagner) wife of James A. Miller, Hamburg, Julie Lynne (Wagner) wife of Jeffrey N. Wuchter, Lenhartsville, Joy Renee (Wagner) wife of Jeffrey S. Hood, Collegeville. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Bethany N. Lewis, Kristopher L. Haring, Noelle R. Reed, Jenna M. Herring, Jocelyn L. Hood; Step Grandchildren, Jacqueline N. Hood and Jordan M. Hood, and 3 Great Grandchildren, Emelia M. Lewis, Alice H. Lewis, Sullivan S. Reed. He was predeceased by a Sister, Doris M. (Wagner) Swavely, Allentown.
Funeral Services are Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post #217, American Legion, Topton, in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
