Arlene N Heffner

Arlene N. Heffner, 77, of 248 Meadow Drive, Auburn, Schuylkill County, formerly of 510 Crystal Cave Road, Kutztown, died Monday, December 22, 2003, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center Hospice Unit, West Reading. She was married to Harold K. Heffner for 43 years in August.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Alvin R. and Mabel S. (Steigerwalt) Green. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Wenton Shoe, Kutztown, for more than 15 years before retiring in the mid-1970s. She was a member of New Jerusalem Zion United Church of Christ, Lenhartsville.

She is survived by Husband; Daughter, Sheila A. Polityka, with whom she resided; Brothers, Asher and Charles, both of Kutztown; Sisters, Betty Schrantz of Reading, Doris Bortz and Geraldine Heffner, both of Kutztown, Janice Heffner of St. Cloud, Fla.; a Grandson.

Funeral services are Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 10:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Krumsville. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
